Programme for Muharram (October/November 2014)

1st of Muharram is expected to fall on Sunday 26th October 2014, subject to moon sighting.

Majaalis will commence on chaand-raat, after Maghribain jamaat. Maulana Taqi Rizvi (English lectures), Zakir Zaffar Shah and Maulana Afzal Haidri will recite.

General Timings:
19:00 Maghribain jamaat
19:30 Start of majlis with recitation of Quran and local zakireen.
20:00 Zakir Zaffar Shah
20:45 Maulana Afzal Haidri

Majalis will start at 10:00am every day ‎and recited by Alima Nargis Ali (Great Yarmouth).

Men will be accommodated in the Regents Park Banqueting Hall due to the number of people expected to attend and allow sufficient space for the ladies in the main mosque building. Parking in mosque car park will be strictly reserved for ladies. HYC English lectures will be hosted at All Saints Church, Herbert Road.

There will be Shabb-e-Daari and Aammal on 10th night of Muharram. Further announcements concerning these and timings for Roz-e-Ashur & Aammal and Shaam-e-Ghareeban will be made during majalis. 

For niaz and general donations please contact the Treasurer, Dilshad Abbas. Members are reminded that your membership subscriptions are due in Muharram. Please settle these at the earliest opportunity. IDs will be required for membership renewals. Idaara appeals for volunteers to help throughout Muharram. Please contact the President if you can commit some time.
